What Taxulate is, and isn't

Taxulate is an AI-powered tool that helps Indian taxpayers prepare to file their Income Tax Return (ITR). It produces a personalized step-by-step guide for the income-tax portal, telling you the exact value to enter in every field. It does not file the ITR for you — you submit on incometax.gov.in.

Taxulate is nota Chartered Accountant, tax advisor, or law firm. We do not provide legal or financial advice. The agent's recommendations are based on the data you provide and standard tax rules; you remain responsible for the accuracy of what you submit.

Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be a tax resident of India for AY 2025-26.
  • You must be filing for yourself (or for someone who has authorised you to file on their behalf).
  • Taxulate's AI agent supports ITR-1 and ITR-2 only. Cases requiring ITR-3 or ITR-4 are routed to our tax-expert connect flow — a human Chartered Accountant — at separate pricing.

Pricing and refunds

  • ITR-1: ₹499. ITR-2: ₹999. One-time fee per filing. Pay only when you're ready to generate the filing guide — there's no upfront cost to sign in or upload documents.
  • Early-bird launch pricing. File on or before 15 July 2026 and pay ₹299 (ITR-1) or ₹699 (ITR-2). The discount is automatic on checkout — no coupon needed. After 15 July, standard pricing applies.
  • Refunds. If Taxulate fails to generate your filing guide due to a technical issue on our end, write to privacy@taxulate.com within 7 days and we'll refund the fee. Refunds are not available simply because the user changed their mind after a successful guide was emitted.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information. The accuracy of your filing depends on the documents and answers you give us.
  • Review before filing. Always verify each value against your own records before entering it on the portal. Taxulate is a guidance tool — the final filed return is your declaration.
  • Don't share your account. Your sign-in credentials are personal. We treat the account as you.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taxulate's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fee you paid for the filing in question (₹299 to ₹999 depending on plan + early-bird window). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including but not limited to tax notices, penalties, interest, or refund delays — arising from data you provided that turned out to be inaccurate, or from changes in tax law after your filing.

Taxulate's logic is reviewed against published Income Tax rules in good faith, but we make no warranty that the generated filing guide will be free of errors. Always cross-check.

Termination

You can terminate your account at any time from /account. Termination triggers data erasure per our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you misuse the service (e.g., upload other people's documents without authorisation, attempt to abuse the AI to obtain advice outside Taxulate's scope, or use the service to commit tax fraud). We'll tell you why before terminating, except in cases where doing so would interfere with a legal investigation.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
